A Little Bit About Me

I am delighted to announce my candidacy for District 5 of the Osceola County School Board. After 22 years as an educator in the Osceola School District, I feel uniquely qualified to run for this seat on our school board and serve as a strong champion for children, parents, and staff.

As an educator, I have earned the trust and respect of both students and colleagues alike. These characteristics, developed over my work experience, have inspired a strong desire for me to use my abilities to better public education in Osceola County. I hope my sustained leadership can serve as an example for others who follow.

My campaign for School Board District 5 seat stems from my dedication to our educational institutions’ success. To this end, I hold an Early Childhood Education degree from the University of Central Florida; I am currently employed as a Kindergarten teacher at Lakeview Elementary School in St. Cloud. My enthusiasm for education remains strong; helping children build brighter futures is my true joy! With two decades of teaching experience behind me, my contributions can add substantial insight and perspectives to any discussion in front of the School Board.

Through my two decades in education, I have strived to make life better for students. My job has taken me through many school systems, both public and private, as well as charter, providing me with invaluable experience that demonstrates why education options should be provided to families. Notably, Osceola County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Florida, so my expertise will undoubtedly aid its growth exponentially.

My career as an educator has exposed me to the complex needs, parental worries, and obstacles facing school system staff. I firmly support laying a firm foundation for every student’s education that places safety and well-being first. Ultimately, my commitment is to ensure each child receives personalized help that meets their specific requirements. Fighting for safe learning environments equipped with age-appropriate resources is also of utmost importance to me, as is representing school district employees while working tirelessly toward real change.

Outside of my professional career, I’m also a devoted mother and the proud wife of a sixth-generation Floridian. Our family has lived in Florida all their lives and are excited to call St. Cloud home. I sincerely ask for your support in my campaign and anxiously await the chance to serve the people of Osceola County.
